Elvis Photos by Andrews Newton Part 4
The King on Stage in Ottawa in 1957
This tribute to the Elvis photos of Andrews Newton concludes with seven more images he captured during Elvis Presley's appearance in Ottawa on April 3, 1957. Eventually, Andrews Newton donated all of his Elvis negatives to the City of Ottawa Archives. Hariette Fried, reference assistant, provided the following information about the current Andrews Newton collection of Elvis photos at the City of Ottawa Archives. "As for what we have - the first shots are of the fans waiting for Elvis to arrive at the train station, Elvis on stage (of course), private portrait sitting photos, Elvis with teens who won the radio contest for seats and backstage passes to meet Elvis and the Caddie that drove him back to the station. All together there are 43 images with Elvis in the shot." Return to the Elvis Photos Contents page to view three other sets of Andrews Newton photos.
